Grutzner House (1958)

Our friends at Traces Films and The Mid C have beautifully produced a film of the Grutzner House (1958) by architects Mockeridge, Stahle & Mitchell.

Alison Alexander is the daughter of Ross Stahle from the renowned Modernist firm Mockridge Stahle Mitchell. She was determined to live in a midC house in Beaumaris so she letter dropped dozens of homes in the area that she liked the look of. The house she ended up living in was designed by none other than her father’s firm. Here she talks with Kate Borland about the experience of living in this Beaumaris midC stunner. Music by Warm Lobby.

Traces Films create timeless films for any business or organisation with a story to tell. The Mid C is an offshoot video blog  which examines domestic Australian architecture of the 50s-70s.
