Our National Trust Heritage Festival event is just over one month away (May 17th) and tickets will be on sale soon.

In the mean-time, we’d like to introduce you to our esteemed panel, starting with our presenter & moderator, Emma Telfer.

Emma is not only an architecture expert, but she has built close bonds with our panelists through previous events, including her role in a wonderful documentary on Peter McIntyre and Mary Featherston, as part of last year’s Open House Melbourne event.

We are thrilled to have her on board.

Emma is the Executive Director of Open House Melbourne, and like the organisation, she champions the city of Melbourne through its built environment.

Open House is a public architecture organisation that empowers people to be active participants in the building of their city through a program of 50+ talks, tours, events, and the much loved Open House Weekend.

Over the last decade, Emma has been instrumental in the delivery of complex and high-profile programs that encourage civic participation in design and city-making including the Victorian Government State of Design Festival, the Queensland Government Unlimited: Design for the Asia Pacific Program and of course, Open House Melbourne.

Emma is a regular media spokesperson, judge, and ambassador for architecture and the broader creative industries in Victoria, and she is currently augmenting her work with post-graduate studies in cultural heritage at Deakin University.
