Open weekend 2025

Save the dates for our biggest event of the year!

October 10 - 12, 2025

Our biggest event of the year! We’re already drafting a program packed with events for art and architecture lovers. We can’t wait to share it with you, but in the meantime, save those dates!

Sunday October 12: Open House

Beaumaris Modern Open 2025

The most popular event in the mid-century calendar! This year, we have three MCM homes in Beaumaris, plus an exclusive look at a never-seen-before church. There’s three timeslots to choose from, with addresses and maps provided on check-in at Beaumaris Art Group. Each location is a short drive, or approximately a 20 minute walk from the next, so self-driving is recommended, and carpooling highly encouraged!

Session 1: 9:45am – 2:00pm (check-in 8:45am)
Session 2: 10:45am – 3:00pm (check-in 9:45am)
Session 3: 12:00pm – 4:45pm (check-in 11:00am)

Tickets: $80 members, $100 non-members

Art and Architecture Exhibition Opening

During the mid-century era, young artists and architects flocked to Beaumaris. They not only built some of the area’s most significant homes, they also fostered a thriving creative community. This exhibition showcases ten Beaumaris homes, along with the artworks that were created by the residents living there.

Tickets: $15 (includes nibbles and a drink on arrival)

Saturday 11 October, 10:30am - 12:00pm

MCM Double Feature

We’re joining forces with our friends at BrisMod for a double feature of mid-century documentaries. On the bill will be Futuro, which documents the rise and fall of the plastic Futuro House. Next up will be Fogo Island, which tells the story of a bold architecture project on remote Fogo Island.

Tickets: $15 (includes movie snacks)

Saturday 11 October, 2pm - 4pm

Good Better Best

It’s part game show, part Antiques Roadshow!

Join the fun as passionate collectors each present three unique pieces, all with a different value. It’s up to you to figure out the Good, the Better and the Best. And yes, there will be prizes for the winners, including a trophy for the 2025 Champion.

Tickets: $15 (includes drink on arrival)

Saturday 11 October, 9:30am - 1:30pm
